The program was accredited through the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), and the meeting itself is regarded as one of the most respected gatherings in the field, held in June 2026.

She went on to found and direct a plastic and reconstructive surgery program at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Kentucky, where she served as Medical Director for five years and earned the Highest Overall Patient Experience Award two years in a row.

Since joining Carolina Plastic Surgery in 2021, Dr. Kerekes has become an integral member of the Spartanburg Regional Comprehensive Breast Cancer team. She also founded Reconstruct the Runway, an annual event that celebrates and raises awareness for breast cancer reconstruction patients, and helped guide Carolina Plastic Surgery to the “Best Plastic Surgery Clinic” honor in The Post and Courier’s 2025 Spartanburg’s Best Awards.
