"During my adult journey, I have experienced a great amount of stress on my body. I gained and lost 100 pounds and have had three cesarean deliveries. As a result, my personal self-confidence was very poor. Due to the large weight loss, I had an abundance of skin hanging over the pubic area causing rashes and infections. "After much deliberation because of being a young mother of three children, and not wanting the recovery time away from my family, I decided to move forward with my surgery after my first consultation with Dr. Kerekes. From the first time I met with her she made me feel at ease and in charge of my medical decisions. She had the best bed side manner I have ever received from the first consultation through my entire recovery process.
With plastic surgery comes anxiety, fear, and obvious discomfort. My anxiety was gone after my first appointment because of how transparent about the procedure and recovery she was. Fear is something that she can help you with because of her demeanor, but that is a decision you as the patient have to come to grips with, but she gives you all the tools to do that. For discomfort she gave me and my partner realistic expectations of what to expect from day one, which helped us know day to day what we were going to deal with.
My personal decision to have my surgery was based on being more comfortable in my own skin after giving birth to three healthy children that have blessed me beyond what I deserve but left loose skin that exercise and diet could not eliminate. Even while I was still in my recovery stage after surgery, I could say then and still say today without a doubt it was the best decision I made for myself as an adult. Not only am I am thrilled with how my body looks and how I feel in my clothes, I walked away feeling fulfilled with why I made the decision, and the entire experience Dr. Kerekes provided me.
